An article titled "Sekunjalo! How social media is bringing real news in South Africa", written by Chris Kanyane and published in 2013 on the now-discontinued News24 Voices blog, has been removed.
This was done after it was revealed that the first paragraph of Kanyane's article was plagiarised from Dr Franklyne Ogbunwezeh's article, titled "The Lynching of Robert Mugabe" (Part 11), which was written in 2008 and published on Nigeriaworld.
News24 apologies to Ogbunwezeh for the oversight and the harm caused by the publication of the article.
