Founded in 1997, iCOLLEGE offers 12-month Seta-accredited courses in: HR, IT, marketing, business administration, public administration, end-user computing, call centre support and project management.
The iCOLLEGE vision is to empower South Africa's youth by changing current socio-economic disadvantages. Their programme provides courses that are fully paid for, and - even better - they get students ‘job ready' at the same time: while studying, all students are also employed by one of approximately 300 companies carefully sourced by iCOLLEGE to participate in the programme. These companies cover a broad spectrum of sectors and sizes and offer the students face-to-face training and full-time employment in skills and training for the duration of their iCollege course.
The remuneration from this employment is enough to cover the tuition at iCOLLEGE for the 12-month period, so students graduate without hefty loans to repay. More than 50 000 previously disadvantaged persons are already benefitting from this programme in 2020.
To qualify to study at iCOLLEGE, you need to be a South African citizen with a valid ID, be currently unemployed and aged between 18 and 27 years. You need a minimum qualification of grade 10, and should not be claiming UIF or any other grants.
